10-man Marinos advance to Asian Champions League final on penalties

Yokohama F Marinos will be competing against Al Ain from the United Arab Emirates in the final of the Asian Champions League. This comes after a thrilling match where Yokohama's 10-man team managed to secure a 3-3 aggregate draw against Ulsan Hyundai, winning 5-4 on penalties.

The decisive spot kick was scored by Brazilian defender Eduardo, while Marinos' William Popp made a crucial save to deny Kim Min-Woo's effort. The match was eventful, with Yokohama's Takumi Kamijima being sent off in the 39th minute.

Despite trailing 1-0 from the first leg, Marinos took a commanding 3-0 lead on the night, capitalizing on Ulsan's defensive hesitancy. Asahi Uenaka, Anderson Lopes, and Uenaka again were the goal scorers for Yokohama.

However, Ulsan managed to pull one back through Matheus Sales before halftime, and the game was leveled on aggregate when Darijan Bojanic converted a penalty.

The match went into penalties, where Yokohama emerged victorious thanks to Popp's impressive goalkeeping and Eduardo's decisive spot kick.
