2025 US Open Main Draw: Sabalenka, Sinner, Gauff, Alcaraz headline star-studded field

The stage is set for a blockbuster 2025 US Open as the main-draw entries have been confirmed, with a glittering lineup of tennis superstars ready to light up Flushing Meadows. The tournament, which runs from Aug. 24 to Sept. 7 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, will feature 18 former Grand Slam singles champions, including 10 former US Open winners.
Leading the pack are World No. 1s Jannik Sinner and Aryna Sabalenka, both defending their US Open singles crowns. Sinner, fresh off a Wimbledon title, is eyeing back-to-back US Open triumphs, while Sabalenka, a finalist at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros earlier this year, aims to secure her second US Open title.
They’re joined by an elite roster of contenders, including Coco Gauff, the 2023 US Open champion, and Carlos Alcaraz, the 2022 winner, both currently ranked world No. 2. With Sinner and Alcaraz claiming three of the four Grand Slam titles this season, fans are eager to see if the “New Two” will continue their dominance in New York.
The women’s draw also boasts No. 3 Iga Swiatek, fresh off her Wimbledon win, and Madison Keys, the reigning Australian Open champion. The U.S. contingent is particularly strong this year, with 30 American players in the main draw—16 women and 14 men. Among them are Top 10 stars Jessica Pegula, Amanda Anisimova, Taylor Fritz, and Ben Shelton.
Nine players are entering the draw with special or protected rankings, including two-time Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova, fan favorite Nick Kyrgios, and Sorana Cirstea.
Qualifiers and wild cards will round out the field, with the US Open Qualifying Tournament kicking off during Fan Week on Aug. 18. This year’s Fan Week also features a revamped Mixed Doubles Championship on Aug. 19–20.
