Abhishek Sharma blasts India to dominant T20 victory against England

Opener Abhishek Sharma's explosive batting powered India to a comprehensive seven-wicket triumph over England in the first T20 International at Eden Gardens, setting a commanding tone for the five-match series.

Sharma's sensational innings of 79 off just 34 balls, featuring eight sixes and five fours, demolished England's modest total of 132. The left-hander's destructive display saw India chase down the target in just 12.5 overs.

"Our bowling attack set the perfect platform," said team management, as Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy led the initial assault. Chakravarthy's crucial 3-23 spell, dismissing key England batsmen Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone, proved pivotal.
