In the opening game of the WNBA semifinal playoff series, A'ja Wilson's standout performance propelled the Las Vegas Aces to a 97-83 victory over the Dallas Wings. Wilson, who recently earned the league's defensive player of the year award, was a force on both ends of the court, scoring 34 points, including 14 in a dominant third quarter.

Wilson also contributed eight rebounds and four blocked shots to her exceptional performance. Kelsey Plum provided valuable support with 25 points, while Jackie Young added 19 points, and Chelsea Gray contributed 13. Young also pulled down 10 rebounds, showcasing her versatility.

Satou Sabally led the No. 4 seed Wings with 16 points, while Arike Ogunbowale added 12 points. The Wings' bench play outscored the Aces 27-4, and they had limited turnovers with just 12. However, the Aces capitalized on those turnovers, scoring 21 points off them, which proved crucial in their victory.

The Aces asserted their dominance in the first half, leading 45-36 at halftime. The Wings attempted a comeback, cutting the lead to 49-45, but they couldn't close the gap further before the half ended.
