Ajax 1-3 Lazio: Biancocelesti defeat hosts to tighten grip at the top of Europa League

Lazio secured an impressive 3-1 win over Ajax in Amsterdam, their 14th victory in 17 matches, moving them to the top of the UEFA Europa League standings with just two matchdays remaining.
In the initial moments of the match, Ajax's defense appeared shaky as Lazio applied effective pressure, resulting in an early goal just 11 minutes into the game.
Veteran midfielder Pedro demonstrated exceptional vision by receiving a clever pass from Nicolò Rovella and delivering a precise through-ball to Loum Tchaouna, who confidently struck the ball past Remko Pasveer, securing his first senior goal in a UEFA club competition.
Ajax had an opportunity to equalize in the 20th minute when Brian Brobbey headed a long cross from Devyne Rensch wide of the target. However, Ajax began to find their rhythm, and after a block by Fisayo Dele-Bashiru against a shot from Bertrand Traoré late in the first half, Traoré unleashed a powerful shot early in the second half.
Luca Pellegrini managed to block a header from Kenneth Taylor following a free kick taken by Jordan Henderson, but the ball fell to Traoré, whose unstoppable strike found the top-left corner of the net at the near post.
Despite this impressive equalizer, Lazio quickly regained the lead within five minutes, thanks to the player who had previously thwarted Traoré.
A swift counterattack down the left flank allowed Mattia Zaccagni to deliver a cross, and although Dele-Bashiru faced a challenging angle, he managed to shoot, with Pasveer parrying the ball just after it had crossed the line by a matter of inches, marking the Nigerian's first goal on the continental stage.
At the other end, Brobbey had another opportunity but saw his header drift wide, expressing his frustration by kicking the post.
