Alcaraz confirms Paris Masters and ATP Finals return

World's number two, Carlos Alcaraz, has confirmed his participation in the upcoming Paris Masters and the ATP Finals in Turin. This announcement comes after his unfortunate withdrawal from the Swiss Indoors championships earlier this month due to an injury.

The reigning Wimbledon champion had faced challenges with an inflammation in his left foot and issues with his gluteal muscles, as stated by the Swiss Indoors organizers.

In an enthusiastic message posted on the social media platform X, Alcaraz shared, "I have fantastic news! I'm experiencing consistent improvement in my condition, and I'm all set to compete in Paris-Bercy and participate in the ATP Finals in Turin. I'm excited to wrap up the year on a positive note!"Alcaraz's impressive year saw him clinch his third and fourth Masters 1000 titles at Indian Wells and Madrid. However, he narrowly missed victory in an epic final against his rival Novak Djokovic, who is 36 years old, at Cincinnati.

The US Open witnessed Alcaraz relinquishing his number one world ranking to Djokovic as he bowed out in the semi-final round.

The Paris Masters is scheduled to kick off on Monday, and the ATP Finals are set to run from November 12th through November 19th.
