US Open finalist Amanda Anisimova continued her stunning rise in women’s tennis by capturing the China Open title on Sunday, defeating Czech player Linda Noskova 6-0, 2-6, 6-2 in a pulsating final in Beijing.

However, Noskova — playing in her first WTA 1000 final, regrouped impressively in the second set. The 20-year-old Czech found her rhythm and broke early, using her powerful serve and deep baseline play to level the match 6-2.
The decider saw both players trading intense rallies, but Anisimova’s composure under pressure made the difference. She broke Noskova in the sixth game to take a 4-2 lead, before sealing victory on her first match point with a forehand winner.
As the final point landed, Anisimova collapsed to the court in joy, lying on her back with her hands covering her face, a mix of relief and disbelief at another major milestone in her career.
From World No. 43 to Top Four in a Year
The triumph in Beijing adds another highlight to a remarkable year for Anisimova. Just twelve months ago, she was ranked world no. 43, battling inconsistency and injuries. Now, she’s world no. 4, a US Open finalist, and a Wimbledon runner-up, firmly establishing herself among the elite of women’s tennis.
Her path to the title included a stunning 6-1, 6-2 semi-final win over defending champion and fellow American Coco Gauff, a statement victory that underlined her current form and confidence.
“It’s been an incredible journey,” Anisimova said after the final. “I’ve worked really hard to find consistency in my game and this feels like a reward for everything I’ve put in. Beijing has been amazing — the crowd, the atmosphere, everything.”
Noskova’s Breakthrough Despite Defeat
Despite falling short, Linda Noskova can take plenty of positives from her Beijing campaign. Ranked No. 27 at the start of the tournament, the Czech star showed poise beyond her years to reach her first WTA 1000 final, defeating several higher-ranked opponents along the way.

Her mix of raw power and shot-making ability has made her one of the most exciting young players to watch — and her performance in Beijing will see her break into the top 20 for the first time.
American Dominance in Beijing
Anisimova’s victory continues the recent trend of American success at the China Open. She becomes the third American champion after Serena Williams and Coco Gauff, underscoring the strength and depth of U.S. women’s tennis on the global stage.
With her second title of the year and consistent deep runs at majors, Anisimova’s resurgence has reignited American hopes for another long-term Grand Slam contender.
