American Rookie Logan Sargeant to Continue with Williams F1 for the 2024 Season

Williams has officially announced the retention of American driver Logan Sargeant for the upcoming 2024 Formula 1 season. Despite facing challenges during the 2023 season, where Sargeant accumulated only one point, the British team has decided to extend his contract for a second campaign.
Sargeant, expressing his enthusiasm, shared his delight about continuing with Williams Racing for the upcoming season. He acknowledged the team's support and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to further develop as a driver within their talented and dedicated group. The American driver also hinted at exciting plans for the future and his eagerness to contribute to the team's success in the coming year.
Notably, Sargeant secured his debut Formula 1 point in a dramatic turn of events at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, becoming the first American to score in the sport since Michael Andretti three decades ago. Williams finished the 2023 season with Alex Albon, who had an impressive 27 points, helping the team secure seventh place in the constructors' championship—Williams' best result in six seasons.
Team principal James Vowles expressed satisfaction with the decision to continue the partnership with Logan into 2024, citing Sargeant's demonstrated skill under the pressure of the world stage. Vowles expressed confidence in Sargeant's abilities and conveyed the belief that together, they can achieve even greater success in the upcoming Formula 1 season.
The 2024 Formula 1 season is set to commence in Bahrain on March 2nd.
