Andy Murray rejoins Novak Djokovic's coaching team ahead of Indian Wells

Novak Djokovic will welcome his former rival Andy Murray back into his coaching team as he seeks to secure the Indian Wells title for the first time in nearly ten years.
Murray's management confirmed that the 37-year-old Scot arrived in California on Monday to resume his coaching collaboration with the Serbian, a 24-time Grand Slam champion.
Djokovic engaged Murray's services prior to this year's Australian Open, where he advanced to the semi-finals before having to withdraw against Alexander Zverev due to injury.
Since then, Djokovic's only match resulted in a loss to Italian Matteo Berrettini in Doha last month, a contest in which Murray was not present.
Djokovic is set to participate in both Indian Wells and Miami—collectively referred to as the Sunshine Double—for the first time since 2019.
He shares the record for the most titles at both Masters Series events, having won five at Indian Wells and six at Miami, alongside Roger Federer and Andre Agassi, respectively. However, he has not claimed either title since 2016.
Murray, a three-time Grand Slam champion, retired last year following the Paris Olympics and astonished the tennis community when he announced his decision to coach Djokovic in Australia.
Speaking in Qatar last month, Djokovic said: "It's indefinite in terms of how long we are going to work together but we agreed we are going to work most likely in the States and then some clay-court tournaments and see how it goes after."
Indian Wells begins this week with Miami on March 19.
