Arsenal 2-2 Bayern Munich: Leandro Trossard late strike earns Gunners first-leg draw with Bayern

In the opening leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich, Arsenal managed to secure a 2-2 draw. Leandro Trossard's impressive second-half goal not only salvaged the match but also stretched the Gunners' undefeated streak to eight consecutive games across all competitions.
Arsenal, having suffered defeats in their last three matches against Bayern by a 5-1 margin, understood the importance of a strong start against their German rivals.
Backed by their passionate fans, the Gunners' desire was fulfilled within 12 minutes as Ben White delivered a precise pass to Bukayo Saka, who elegantly struck the ball into the far corner after letting it run across his body.
With the wind in their sails, Mikel Arteta's team came close to extending their lead shortly after, only for Manuel Neuer to deny White's close-range effort.
Despite Bayern's equalizer against the run of play in the 18th minute, courtesy of Serge Gnabry, the hosts remained undeterred.
The Bavarians then took the lead through Harry Kane's penalty, awarded after a foul on Leroy Sane by William Saliba, giving them the advantage at halftime.
In an attempt to take back control of the competition, Arsenal increased their efforts in the early part of the second half. However, scoring opportunities were scarce as the visitors' defense remained strong.
As the clock approached the final 25 minutes, Arteta decided to bring in attacking players Gabriel Jesus and Trossard. Their partnership proved to be effective as they managed to equalize in the 76th minute.
Gabriel Jesus skillfully created space in the penalty area and passed the ball to Trossard, who scored with a first-time shot into the bottom corner.
As the match neared its end, both teams searched for a winning goal, keeping the outcome uncertain.
Bayern had the best chance when substitute Kingsley Coman hit the post with a daring flick, much to the relief of the home fans.
Neither team managed to score again, setting up a competitive return leg next week.
