Arsenal 3-0 Bournemouth: Gunners ease past Cherries to go four points clear at the top

Arsenal claimed their 14th win out of the last 16 Premier League games by triumphing over Bournemouth 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium. This victory extended their lead to four points at the pinnacle of the table, intensifying the competition for Manchester City.

The Gunners displayed complete dominance in the opening half, tallying 16 shots compared to Bournemouth's single attempt.

Despite the Cherries' impressive blocks early on, Kai Havertz managed to force Mark Travers to deflect his powerful strike.

William Saliba, positioned unusually in the penalty area, took a shot with his weaker foot, only to be saved by Travers.

Bukayo Saka was also thwarted by the goalkeeper, while Takehiro Tomiyasu's header was cleared off the line. Arsenal gradually approached a breakthrough, and just before halftime, they seized the lead.

Following a foul on Havertz by Travers, resulting in a penalty, Saka skillfully scored his 16th league goal of the season.

Despite missing opportunities, Arsenal eventually doubled their lead early in the second half.

Although Bournemouth's confidence grew with a few chances, Arsenal extended their lead unexpectedly as Rice flicked the ball to Leandro Trossard, who swiftly found the net.

Bournemouth may have felt aggrieved as they had a goal disallowed shortly after hitting the crossbar, but Rice secured the victory with a precise strike in injury time.

Gabriel's incredible half-volley into the top corner was unfortunately ruled offside.

Arsenal's win against Bournemouth marked their fourth consecutive victory in their head-to-head matches, while Andoni Iraola's team remains in 10th place.
