Arsenal 3-1 Southampton: Saka Shines as Gunners Secure Hard-Fought Victory

Moments later, Southampton's persistence paid off when Fernandes set up Archer, who fired a composed shot past Ramsdale to give the visitors a shock 1-0 lead.

Arsenal quickly responded, however, as Saka set up Havertz for the equalizer, with the German striking powerfully past Ramsdale. A series of changes gave the Gunners fresh energy, and soon they took the lead through Gabriel Martinelli, who poked home a clever cross from Saka.

Southampton came close to equalizing with Dibling hitting the post, but Arsenal's defense held firm. Any hope of a comeback for the Saints was extinguished when Saka capitalized on a defensive error to score Arsenal’s third in the 88th minute, securing all three points.
