Arsenal agree deal to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace
Arsenal have reportedly reached an agreement in principle with Crystal Palace to sign Eberechi Eze, beating north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the signature of the England international. With concerns over Havertz’s fitness, the Gunners appear ready to bolster their creative options by swooping for Eze, who was once part of Arsenal’s academy before being released at the age of 13.

Despite growing speculation, Palace manager Oliver Glasner insisted on Wednesday that both Eze and captain Marc Guehi remain fully committed to the club. The pair started in Palace’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at the weekend and are expected to feature again in the club’s Europa Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad.
“Most of you will be surprised that they will start again tomorrow because of all the rumours,” Glasner said. “But again, they are committed. They have a contract here, they play a crucial part, and they will continue to do so as long as they are with us.”
Eze is tied to Palace until 2027, while Guehi’s deal runs until next year.
