Arsenal Stunned by Bournemouth as Garnacho Sparks Man United Comeback

Arsenal's hopes of climbing to the top of the Premier League were dashed on Saturday with a shocking 2-0 loss to Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. Mikel Arteta's side, which had the opportunity to leapfrog Liverpool and Manchester City, suffered their first defeat of the season in one of the campaign's biggest upsets so far.
The Gunners were reduced to 10 men in the first half after William Saliba was shown a red card, their third dismissal of the season. Bournemouth capitalized on the advantage, with Ryan Christie breaking the deadlock in the 70th minute before Justin Kluivert converted a penalty nine minutes later to seal the victory.

“It’s hard enough to play here 11 against 11; we made life very difficult for ourselves,” Arteta said after the match, lamenting the impact of yet another red card on his team's performance. The defeat leaves Arsenal in third place, one point behind league leaders Liverpool and level with Manchester City, both of whom play on Sunday.
Garnacho's Magic Spurs Manchester United to Victory
At Old Trafford, Manchester United staged a comeback to beat Brentford 2-1, securing only their third Premier League win of the season. Alejandro Garnacho ignited the turnaround with a stunning volley just after halftime, connecting with Marcus Rashford’s cross to bring the Red Devils level in the 47th minute.

Rasmus Hojlund completed the comeback, netting the winner in the 62nd minute to ease pressure on manager Erik ten Hag, who praised the team’s fighting spirit. “In this team, you see togetherness, and today we added some determination to score goals, which is what we needed,” Ten Hag said.
United had fallen behind in first-half added time when Brentford's Ethan Pinnock scored in controversial circumstances while Matthijs de Ligt was off the field receiving medical treatment. However, Garnacho’s brilliance and Hojlund’s clinical finish helped United bounce back to claim a vital three points.
Villa and Spurs Close Gap at the Top
Aston Villa tightened the race at the top of the standings with a 3-1 win over Fulham, moving within one point of Liverpool and level with Arsenal. After Raul Jimenez gave Fulham an early lead, Villa responded through Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins before an Issa Diop own goal sealed the win.

Meanwhile, Tottenham mounted a second-half blitz to thrash West Ham 4-1. After trailing to Mohammed Kudus’ goal, Spurs hit back through Dejan Kulusevski before second-half goals from Yves Bissouma and Son Heung-min, along with an Alphonse Areola own goal, completed the turnaround.
Southampton's Collapse and Brighton's Surge
At the bottom of the table, Southampton’s hopes of securing their first win of the season were dashed after a stunning collapse against Leicester City. Leading 2-0 after 28 minutes, Southampton conceded three second-half goals, including a Jamie Vardy penalty, as Leicester pulled off a remarkable comeback to win 3-2.
Elsewhere, Brighton continued their impressive start under new coach Fabian Hurzeler with a 1-0 win over Newcastle. Danny Welbeck scored his fifth goal of the season to keep Brighton flying high under the Texan-born coach.
Everton and Leicester Secure Crucial Wins
Everton extended their unbeaten run to four matches with a 2-0 win over winless Ipswich, while Leicester’s comeback victory moved them six points clear of the relegation zone.
