Aston Villa secure loan move for wantaway forward Rashford from Manchester United

Marcus Rashford, aged 27, has finalized a loan transfer to Aston Villa from Manchester United, as announced by the Midlands club on Sunday evening. The England international, who has earned 60 caps for the national team, will be with Villa until the conclusion of the current season.
Having scored 138 goals in over 400 matches, Rashford progressed through the youth system at Old Trafford and has celebrated victories in the Europa League, two FA Cups, and two League Cups with his childhood club.
Aston Villa's pursuit of Rashford follows the sale of Colombian striker Jhon Duran to Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr on Friday. This move came after a disappointing 2-0 loss to relegation-threatened Wolves on Saturday, prompting Villa manager Unai Emery to express the need for new signings.
Rashford had been associated with potential moves to AC Milan and Barcelona, and discussions with Tottenham and West Ham are also reported to have taken place during the January transfer window.
The adaptable forward, capable of playing across the front line, has scored 17 goals for England and has represented his nation in two World Cups and two European Championships.
Is this a chance for Rashford to rebuild his career?
A temporary move to Villa could provide Rashford with an opportunity to restore his reputation following a significant decline over the past two years. A rejuvenated Rashford could be advantageous for Villa as they aim for a top-four finish in the Premier League while also competing in the Champions League round of 16.
Rashford has been seeking to depart Old Trafford since expressing his readiness for a "new challenge" after being omitted from the squad by United manager Ruben Amorim for the Manchester derby in December.
Since then, he has missed all 12 of United's matches, with Amorim recently indicating a loss of patience by suggesting he would prefer to include the club's 63-year-old goalkeeping coach in the lineup.
