ATP roundup: Alexander Zverev sets career high in wins

Top seed Alexander Zverev (27) reached a significant milestone by advancing to the quarter-finals of the Erste Bank Open, defeating Marcos Giron (31) with a score of 6-2, 7-5 on Wednesday in Vienna, Austria.
During the 73-minute match, Zverev delivered 10 aces and successfully converted all three of his break point opportunities, marking his 61st singles victory of the season, surpassing his previous career high achieved in 2018.
He is set to face sixth-seeded Italian Lorenzo Musetti in the next round, who progressed due to a walkover after France's Gael Monfils withdrew because of illness.
In another match, Italy's Matteo Berrettini secured his place in the quarter-finals with a hard-fought 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3 win over fifth-seeded Frances Tiafoe, lasting 3 hours and 3 minutes.
