ATP roundup: Hurkacz survices Lehecka challenge in Rotterdam

Hubert Hurkacz, the fourth seed from Poland, defeated Czech Jiri Lehecka 6-3, 6-7 (9), 7-6 (9), in the first round of the ABN AMRO Open in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Tuesday.
Hurkacz served on match point three times in the second set tiebreaker, but Lehecka extended the match each time, eventually winning 11-9. Hurkacz turned the tables in the third set, saving a match point in the 10th game and three more in the tiebreaker before winning 11-9.
Russian second seed Andrey Rublev had an easier time against Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs, winning 7-5, 6-3. No. 5 seed Alex de Minaur of Australia defeated Sebastian Korda 6-4, 6-3, while No. 8 seed Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan defeated Borna Coric of Croatia 6-3, 6-4.
Hungarian Marton Fucsovics, Kazakhstan's Alexander Shevchenko, and Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff also advanced.
IEB+ Argentina Open
Dusan Lajovic of Serbia defeated Frenchman Arthur Fils, the eighth seed, 6-3, 6-4, in the first round of the Buenos Aires tournament.
Lajovic had one ace to Fils' five, but he also had no double faults, whereas his opponent had nine. Lajovic also won 67% of his points on second serves, whereas Fils only converted 38%.
The fifth seed, Argentine Sebastian Baez, had it easier, defeating Spain's Bernabe Zapata Miralles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.
Elsewhere, Colombian qualifier Daniel Elahi Galan defeated Argentine wild card Diego Schwartzman 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. Galan saved six of nine break points and converted four of his six break point chances against the former world number eight.
Federico Coria of Argentina defeated Austria's Sebastian Ofner 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 in front of his home crowd. Other winners included Argentina's Camilo Ugo Carabelli, Chile's Alejandro Tabilo, and Italy's Luciano Darderi and Andre Vavassori.
Delray Beach Open
Jordan Thompson of Australia fired ten aces to his opponent's one, defeating No. 7 seed Daniel Evans of Great Britain 7-5, 6-0, in the first round in Delray Beach, Florida.
The eighth seed also lost early, with qualifier Zachary Svajda defeating Australia's Max Purcell 7-5, 6-3.
Italian lucky loser Flavio Cobolli defeated Japan's Taro Daniel 1-6, 6-2, 7-6 (1). Nicolas Moreno De Alboran of the United States and Rinky Hijikata of Australia were also among those who advanced.
In subsequent matches, Moldovan qualifier Radu Albot and American duo Alex Michelsen and Marcos Giron won.
