In the second round of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Jiri Lehecka, a 22-year-old player from the Czech Republic, showcased his skills by delivering an impressive 16 aces. Despite facing an initial setback, he managed to mount a comeback and secure a well-deserved 6-7(6), 7-6(5), 6-4 triumph over the fourth-seeded Russian, Karen Khachanov, aged 27.

Lehecka managed to save nine out of 11 break points and hit 53 winners to secure the day's sole upset. Despite trailing 4-2 in the third set, he rallied to win the final four games and secure a spot in the quarter-finals, where he is set to face seventh seed Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan.

Bublik emerged victorious with a 7-6(8), 7-6(2) win over Tallon Griekspoor from the Netherlands on Wednesday.

Top seed Daniil Medvedev of Russia and second seed Andrey Rublev also advanced to the second round. Medvedev came from behind to defeat Lorenzo Sonego of Italy 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, while Rublev overpowered French qualifier Arthur Cazaux 6-4, 6-4.

Additionally, third seed Hubert Hurkacz of Poland, fifth seed Ugo Humbert from France, eighth seed Alejandro Davidovich Fokina from Spain, and Sebastian Korda from the United States all secured victories.

At the Movistar Chile Open, Spain's Pedro Martinez outlasted sixth seed Facundo Diaz Acosta from Argentina with a 7-6(4), 6-7(5), 6-1 triumph in the second round in Santiago, Chile.

After a competitive first two sets, Martinez dominated the third set to close out a marathon match lasting 3 hours and 8 minutes. He is now set to face third seed Arthur Fils from France, who defeated Thiago Seyboth Wild from Brazil 6-3, 6-3 on Wednesday.

Top seed Nicolas Jarry from Chile had a comfortable victory over Federico Coria from Argentina with a score of 7-6(4), 6-2, while French qualifier Corentin Moutet defeated Thiago Agustin Tirante from Argentina 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-2.

Germany's Dominik Koepfer secured a 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 victory over eighth-seeded Frances Tiafoe of the United States after winning 12 out of 14 points on his serve in the third set at Acapulco, Mexico.

The top three seeds all triumphed in straight sets. Denmark's Holger Rune, the No. 2 seed, defeated Aleksandar Kovacevic of the United States 7-6(5), 6-2. Australia's Alex de Minaur, seeded third, dominated Austria's Sebastian Ofner 6-1, 6-3, while Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fifth seed, overcame Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli 6-3, 7-6(6).

Great Britain's Jack Draper beat Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka 6-3, 6-0; Serbia's Miomir Kecmanovic defeated Germany's Daniel Altmaier 6-4, 6-4; and the United States' Ben Shelton won against Italy's Matteo Arnaldi 7-6(1), 3-6, 6-3.

In the final match of the night, sixth-seeded Casper Ruud of Norway secured a 6-4, 7-5 victory over Serbia's Dusan Lajovic by breaking his serve twice in the last game of each set.
