ATP roundup: Patrick Kypson earns first tour win

Patrick Kypson's first ATP Tour victory was a big one.
Kypson, a 24-year-old North Carolina native ranked 155th in the world, defeated fifth-seeded Miomir Kecmanovic of Serbia 6-4, 7-6 (3) on Monday in the first round of the Delray Beach (Fla.) Open.
Kypson entered the tournament as a wild card. Prior to Monday, he had gone 0-3 in tour-level events, including a first-round loss at the Australian Open last month.
In other action, Italy's sixth-seeded Matteo Arnaldi avoided an upset by defeating Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka 4-6, 6-4, 6-3.
Arnaldi finished with a whopping 21 aces and advanced to the second round. Nishioka had zero, and he only hit 17 winners compared to Arnaldi's 50.
Meanwhile, Nuno Borges of Portugal and Frenchman Constant Lestienne annihilated their respective opponents. Borges defeated Canadian lucky loser Gabriel Diallo 6-4, 7-6 (1), while Lestienne beat Australian Aleksandar Vukic 6-4, 6-4.
ABN AMRO Open
Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands put on a show in front of a friendly crowd, saving two match points in the 12th game of the third set before defeating Italian Lorenzo Musetti 3-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (3) in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Griekspoor was on the ropes trailing 6-5, but he fought back and forced a tiebreaker, where he raced out to a 3-0 lead before winning the first round match.
In other action, a pair of Canadians won in straight sets. Felix Auger-Aliassime defeated US qualifier Maxime Cressy 7-6 (3), 7-6 (8), and Milos Raonic, playing on a protected ranking, defeated Dutch wild card Jesper de Jong 7-6 (5), 6-4.
Belgian qualifier David Goffin also advanced, defeating Dino Prizmic, a Croatian wild card.
IEB+ Argentina Open
Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland and Serbian seventh seed Laslo Djere recovered from first-set losses to advance to the second round in Buenos Aires.
Wawrinka defeated Argentine Pedro Cachin 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-2, while Djere won 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 against Croatian wild card Marin Cilic. Argentina's wild card Facundo Diaz Acosta won as well, defeating Germany's Daniel Altmaier 6-3, 7-6(1).
Sixth-seeded Argentine Tomas Martin Etcheverry defeated Spain's Roberto Carballes Baena 6-4, 6-1.
