ATP roundup: Tommy Paul defeats Marcos Giron to win Dallas Open

Second seed Tommy Paul won his second ATP Tour title on Sunday by defeating fellow American Marcos Giron 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 in the Dallas Open final.
Paul, 26, won in Stockholm in 2021. Paul, ranked 15th in the world, and Giron, ranked 67th, competed in the first all-American tour final since Tokyo two years ago.
Their match Sunday lasted two hours and 33 minutes. Paul led in winners (30-15) and aces (7-1), while Giron had the match's only three double faults and more unforced errors (18-10). Paul converted both break-point opportunities, while his opponent went 2-for-6.
Cordoba Open
In the final in Argentina, Italian qualifier Luciano Darderi defeated Argentine qualifier Facundo Bagnis in straight sets (6-1, 6-4).
Darderi had eight aces and won 77.8 percent of his first serves (21 of 27), compared to 51.4 percent (19 of 37) for Bagnis.
Darderi, ranked 136th in the world, converted four of ten break-point opportunities, compared to Bagnis's one of two.
Open 13 Provence
Ugo Humbert won his fifth ATP Tour title in Marseille, France, defeating Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov 6-4, 6-3.
Humbert, the fourth seed, took a 3-0 lead in the second set after saving two break points in the first game and breaking Dimitrov's serve in the next game.
Dimitrov had defeated Humbert in their previous two meetings before Humbert's 84-minute victory. Humbert's exceptional serving helped him win. He served 10 aces, saved both of his two break points, and won 87 percent of his first serves (33 of 38). Humbert has won each of his five tour finals.
