Serbian player Miomir Kecmanovic achieved an upset against sixth-seeded Alexander Bublik from Kazakhstan, winning 6-4, 6-2 during the opening round of the Adelaide International in Australia on Tuesday.

Bublik was the only seeded competitor to be eliminated on that day. Advancing to the next round were seventh-seeded Brandon Nakashima, who triumphed in a three-set match against Germany's Yannick Hanfmann with scores of 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, and eighth-seeded Tomas Martin Etcheverry from Argentina, who defeated Australian Tristan Schoolkate 7-6 (8), 6-3.

In another match, Australian Rinky Hijikata secured a victory over Belgium's David Goffin in straight sets. Additionally, French players Arthur Cazaux and Manuel Guinard, along with American Marcos Giron, also progressed to the next stage.

In the ASB Classic, Czech teenager Jakub Mensik made history by becoming the youngest player to win a match in the Auckland, New Zealand tournament since 2018, defeating lucky loser Pablo Carreno Busta from Spain with a scoreline of 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 in the opening round.

At just 19 years old, Mensik took two hours and 12 minutes to clinch the victory, which included an impressive 18 aces. His next opponent will be the top seed, Ben Shelton.

American Nishesh Basavareddy celebrated his first victory in an ATP Tour main draw by defeating lucky loser Francisco Comesana from Argentina with a score of 6-2, 6-2.

Other notable winners included 38-year-old Gael Monfils from France, who became the oldest victor in Auckland since 1971, as well as Jan-Lennard Struff from Germany, Italians Luca Nardi and Lorenzo Sonego, and Argentine players Mariano Navone and Facundo Diaz Acosta.
