Aubameyang joins Al Qadsiah from Olympique Marseille

Aubameyang joined Stade Velodrome just last season, following a period of being sidelined at Chelsea. He made a significant impact for the French club, scoring 29 goals and providing 11 assists in 51 appearances.
Despite his impressive performance in the Europa League, where he scored 10 goals and contributed three assists, Marseille fell short of reaching the final after being defeated by eventual champions, Atalanta.
Nevertheless, Aubameyang's goal-scoring prowess saw him break the record for the most goals in the competition, surpassing Colombian great Radamel Falcao with a total of 31 goals.
Before his transfer to the newly promoted team backed by oil giant Aramco, the Gabonese captain bid an emotional farewell to Marseille. In a message on Instagram, Aubameyang expressed his gratitude to the club, its staff, teammates, and fans for their support and memories shared during his time at the club.
He acknowledged the influence of his father in his career and expressed his readiness to embark on a new chapter. Aubameyang thanked Marseille's owner, Frank McCourt, and sporting director, Pablo, for their understanding and support, emphasizing the special connection he felt with the Velodrome and its passionate supporters.
In Michel’s team at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Khobar, Aubameyang will be teaming up with Real Madrid icon Nacho, who departed the team following a 23-year tenure.
The striker had a successful run at Arsenal, netting 92 goals in 163 matches over his two-and-a-half seasons at the Emirates Stadium.
In addition to securing the LaLiga championship with Barcelona, the FA Cup with Arsenal, and the German Cup with Borussia Dortmund, he clinched the African Player of the Year award in 2015 by surpassing Yaya Toure of Cote d’Ivoire and Andre Ayew of Ghana for the prestigious honor.
