Avalanche, Bruins, and Golden Knights Make NHL History with 6-0-0 Start

History is being made in the NHL as three teams, the Vegas Golden Knights, Boston Bruins, and Colorado Avalanche, have achieved an unprecedented 6-0-0 start to the season. This marks the first time in NHL history that three teams have opened a season with at least six consecutive wins.

The reigning Stanley Cup champion, Vegas Golden Knights, is leading the way with seven consecutive victories, marking the best start for a reigning champion. They are now just three wins away from tying the record for the longest winning streak to begin a season, a record currently held by the 1993-94 Toronto Maple Leafs and the 2006-07 Buffalo Sabres, who both won 10 games in a row.

The Golden Knights demonstrated their resilience with a late-game rally against the Philadelphia Flyers, scoring two goals in the final eight minutes of regulation to come back from a 2-1 deficit.

Bruins' coach Jim Montgomery is pleased with his team's strong start, even after the retirements of top centers Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci. He sees the emergence of a gritty and resilient team. This marks the second time in franchise history that the Bruins have won their first six games, with the last time being in the 1937-38 season.

The Colorado Avalanche, while maintaining a perfect 6-0 record, is not entirely satisfied with their performance. Despite setting an NHL record with their 15th straight road win, coach Jared Bednar acknowledges that there is room for improvement.

One area that doesn't require improvement is goaltending, where Alexandar Georgiev is excelling with six wins, a 1.98 goals-against average, and a .930 save percentage. Colorado entered the season as the favorite to win the Stanley Cup, and Georgiev's outstanding performance provides early optimism for their championship aspirations.

This unprecedented start to the NHL season has hockey fans eagerly anticipating what these formidable teams will achieve in the coming months.
