Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 Eintracht Frankfurt: Leverkusen cruise past visitors to stay four points clear at the top

Victor Boniface scored and assisted on two more goals in Bayer Leverkusen's 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday, keeping the Bundesliga leaders four points clear.
The 22-year-old Nigeria forward powered into the box and threaded a low shot past two defenders and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp for his ninth goal of the season, giving Xabi Alonso's team a 14th-minute lead.
After Alejandro Grimaldo's 35th-minute free kick sailed over the crossbar, Jeremie Frimpong doubled their lead on the rebound after Trapp saved a Boniface shot.
Six minutes later, the striker sent Florian Wirtz through for their third goal, with the Germany international chipping the ball over the keeper.
Leverkusen have 39 points, while Bayern Munich, who have a game in hand, are second on 35 after a 3-0 win over VfB Stuttgart.
After next week's matches on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Bundesliga will take a winter break and resume on January 12.
