Bayern Munich 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt: Kane double helps Bayern see off visitors ahead of Champions League clash with Real

Bayern Munich secured their fourth consecutive victory with the help of a Harry Kane double, defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 at the Allianz Arena. This win denied Frankfurt the chance to achieve their first league double in 46 years.

With their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid approaching, Bayern had little left to play for in the league except securing second place. However, they got off to a fantastic start.

Within the first 10 minutes, Konrad Laimer won the ball near the halfway line, advanced forward, and selflessly passed the ball to Kane, who calmly finished the chance. This goal made Kane the first player ever to score or assist against every Bundesliga team in his debut season.

Frankfurt, who only had their sixth-place position to fight for, showed determination and equalized midway through the first half. Hugo Ekitike displayed brilliance as he skillfully maneuvered past defenders and curled a precise shot into the net.

Both teams had opportunities to score a second goal before halftime, but the goalkeepers, Manuel Neuer and Kevin Trapp, made crucial saves to keep the score level.

In the second half, Bayern seemed to have control of the game, but Frankfurt remained a threat on the counterattack. However, Frankfurt's Robin Koch committed a moment of madness by elbowing Thomas Muller, resulting in a penalty for Bayern.

Kane confidently converted the penalty, bringing his league goal tally to 35, just six goals away from Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record of 41 goals.

Bayern regained their lead and started playing with a significantly improved rhythm, exuding confidence. The home team came close to scoring a third goal shortly after, but Muller's attempt was thwarted on the goal line.

After falling behind for the second time, Die Adler encountered difficulties and the opposing team effortlessly dominated the final 30 minutes of the match, maintaining possession and dictating the tempo.

The Bavarians comfortably secured a win before their highly anticipated match against Real Madrid, as they hold onto their sole opportunity for a trophy this season. Their previous trophyless season dates back to 2012.
