Bayern Munich 3-0 Augsburg: Kane nets hat-trick as league leaders extend lead to 8 points

Bayern Munich's Harry Kane scored a hat-trick, two of which came in second-half stoppage time, to give the league leaders a 3-0 win over Augsburg on Friday, extending their advantage to eight points with their sixth consecutive clean sheet across all competitions.
The Bavarians, who face Paris St Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday, are undefeated in the Bundesliga and have 29 points after their fifth straight league game without allowing a goal.
Second-placed RB Leipzig, who travel to Hoffenheim on Saturday, have 21 points.
"We said at half time we should just keep going and create chances," Kane, who has scored 14 league goals this season, told reporters. "Thankfully we got the penalty and from there the game opened up."
Kane has 50 league goals since joining Bayern last year, achieving the feat in 43 Bundesliga games, faster than any other player in league history.
Bayern have a hectic schedule ahead of them, starting with PSG on Tuesday and then travelling to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga in a week. On December 3, they will play the German Cup last-16 at home against holders Bayer Leverkusen, capping an 11-day four-match run.
Bayern had more than 70% possession for much of the first half, but Augsburg owed a goalless first half to keeper Nediljko Labrovic, who denied Harry Kane, Jamal Musiala, and Leon Goretzka, who also hit the crossbar four minutes after the restart.
Labrovic then denied Michael Olise in the 51st minute, but he could not stop Kane from scoring a well-taken penalty in the 63rd.
After a lengthy VAR review in stoppage time, the England captain was handed another penalty, and Augsburg's Keven Schlotterbeck was sent off for tripping him in front of the goal.
Labrovic was once again beaten by Kane after picking the wrong side, and the attacker sealed his hat-trick seconds later by controlling a Goretzka cross with a wonderful first touch and heading in.
