Bayern Munich 4-0 Eintracht Frankfurt: Die Roten ease past visitors to extend Bundesliga lead to eight points

Bayern Munich achieved their tenth consecutive home victory in the Bundesliga by defeating Eintracht Frankfurt 4-0 at the Allianz Arena, thereby reaffirming their eight-point advantage at the top of the standings with a record-extending 43rd home win in their head-to-head encounters.
Following a couple of lackluster performances against Bayer Leverkusen and Celtic in the previous week, Vincent Kompany’s squad began the match slowly. They nearly faced consequences for this sluggish start when they lost possession in their defensive third; however, Hugo Ekitike's attempt went wide of the goal.
From that point onward, the Rekordmeister took control of the match, with Jamal Musiala being denied an opening goal by a goalline clearance from Rasmus Kristensen. This opportunity was created by Michael Olise, who was causing problems on the right flank, initially firing a close-range shot wide before forcing Kevin Trapp into a save with a low drive.
Thomas Müller, filling in for Harry Kane in the starting lineup, was the next to pose a threat to the Frankfurt goal, but Trapp managed to thwart his long-range effort as well.
Although the hosts lost Joshua Kimmich to injury before halftime, they managed to take the lead in first-half stoppage time when Leroy Sane's cutback was converted into an empty net by Olise, who has now scored in consecutive matches against Frankfurt.
The visitors' disappointing end to the first half led Dino Toppmoller to make a double substitution at the interval, yet the overall flow of the game remained unchanged, and Bayern extended their lead in the 60th minute.
A significant error from the usually dependable Trapp occurred when he misjudged a corner, allowing the ball to fall at the near post for Hiroki Ito to score his first goal for Bayern.
This goal deflated the visitors, and a third goal was inevitable, as Musiala showcased his skill by maneuvering past defenders, recovering from a challenge, and striking the ball past Trapp.
A decisive victory for the leading home team in Europe’s top five leagues was concluded with a goal from Serge Gnabry in the 92nd minute. This result marks the end of Frankfurt’s unbeaten streak in the Bundesliga, which lasted for seven matches, occurring just one week prior to their encounter with the defending champions, Bayer Leverkusen.
