Bayern Munich maintain 100% UCL record as Inter Milan tops Group D

Bayern Munich secured a 3-1 victory over Galatasaray, marking the Turkish team's first loss of the season. This remarkable win extends Bayern's unbeaten streak in the UEFA Champions League group stage to 16 consecutive matches. The match unfolded at Rams Park, where an enthusiastic crowd matched the intensity on the field.
The hosts, Galatasaray, posed a threat in the initial stages, with Mauro Icardi and Kerem Akturkoglu leading the charge. However, it was Bayern who struck first as Kingsley Coman capitalized on a swift counter-attack, driving the ball into the bottom corner to open his European account for the season.
Following Bayern's lead, the Turkish champions nearly responded immediately, with Akturkoglu's acrobatic volley forcing a superb diving save from Sven Ulreich.
Galatasaray's relentless pressure led to a costly mistake by Bayern, as Joshua Kimmich fouled Icardi in the box. Icardi coolly converted a Panenka penalty to level the score.
Despite their momentum, Galatasaray missed a halftime lead as Akturkoglu was denied by Ulreich, and Icardi's effort went wide in first-half stoppage time. In the second half, the energetic hosts continued to press, but Bayern struggled to regain control. Lucas Torreira had two promising chances but failed to find the target.
As the match passed the hour mark, Bayern regained control, and Galatasaray began to show signs of fatigue.
Fernando Muslera made a save to deny Leroy Sane's left-foot strike, but he couldn't stop Harry Kane from restoring Bayern's lead in the 73rd minute. Kane's initial shot was blocked, but he scored on the second attempt.
Kane also set up Musiala, who fired in Bayern's third goal, securing another victory in the group stage.
Before the evening's matches, Bayern held a five-point lead over Galatasaray in their relentless pursuit of progressing from the UCL group stage.
In another match, Inter took the top spot in Group D with a 2-1 win over Salzburg, thanks to goals from Alexis Sanchez and Hakan Calhanoglu, while Oscar Gloukh scored for Salzburg.
