Bayern striker Kane travels to England camp for treatment on injured ankle

Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane has returned to England in order to link up with the national team, where he will receive medical attention for an ankle injury sustained during a 5-2 victory against Darmstadt, as confirmed by the Bundesliga club on Sunday.

Kane, who scored his 31st league goal to achieve the best-ever debut season in the German top flight, was substituted due to injury during Saturday's victory after a collision with the post and getting his foot caught in the side netting.

The club stated that the striker has joined the England national team for international duty and will receive treatment from the team doctors there, in coordination with the FC Bayern medical staff.

England is scheduled to play friendly matches against Brazil and Belgium at Wembley during the upcoming international break in preparation for the European Championship starting in June.

Kane holds the record for being England's all-time leading goal scorer with 62 goals.
