Borussia Dortmund 5-1 FC Augsburg: Dortmund hit Augsburg for five in Champions League semi-final dress rehearsal

Borussia Dortmund thrashed Augsburg 5-1 in the Bundesliga on Saturday, providing an ideal dress rehearsal for next week's Champions League semi-final return leg at Paris St Germain.

Dortmund, who face PSG on Tuesday after a 1-0 first leg win in Germany earlier this week, had a quick start, scoring three goals in the first 29 minutes.

Youssoufa Moukoko scored either side of Doneyll Malen's 20th-minute goal to swiftly put the game away.

Augsburg reduced the deficit in the 32nd minute through Ruben Vargas, but the visitors restored their three-goal lead in the 34th minute through Marco Reus, who will leave the club after 12 years at the end of the season.

He then assisted Felix Nmecha in the 64th minute to make it 5-1.

Dortmund, who have secured a Champions League spot for next season, are in fifth place with 60 points, three behind RB Leipzig.
