Bournemouth 4-3 Luton Town: Antoine Semenyo scores twice as Cherries complete sensational four-goal comeback

Bournemouth secured a remarkable victory at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday night, netting four goals in the second half to defeat Luton 4-3. Among the goal scorers, Antoine Semenyo stood out with two impressive strikes, contributing significantly to the thrilling contest.
Luton began the match with great determination, driven by the knowledge that a victory would have lifted them out of the bottom three. They wasted no time in asserting their dominance, scoring within the first 10 minutes through Tahith Chong, who was left unmarked at the far post by Jordan Clark.
Bournemouth, led by Luis Sinisterra, tried to respond by testing Thomas Kaminski with two shots, but they found themselves in a familiar position of being 2-0 down, just like the previous weekend against Sheffield United.
Chiedozie Ogbene extended Luton's lead by scoring at the back post after a well-placed pass from Alfie Doughty.
Despite Bournemouth's ability to come back from a two-goal deficit on Saturday, they struggled against Luton and were three goals down by half-time, with Ross Barkley finishing off a swift counter-attack.
In the second half, Bournemouth showed more fight and managed to pull one back through Dominic Solanke's clever finish over Kaminski.
Luton's nerves were evident after the first goal, but the situation became even more uncomfortable when Illia Zabarnyi scored his first goal for Bournemouth from close range. From that moment on, it seemed inevitable what would happen next.
The equalizer came shortly after through Antoine Semenyo, who cut in from the right and fired a powerful shot into the bottom corner with his left foot, leveling the scores in the second half within 20 minutes.
Despite expectations of Luton crumbling, they fought valiantly until the 84th minute when another Semenyo goal sealed the remarkable comeback. This comeback was particularly impressive as no team had managed to overturn a 3-0 deficit in the Premier League to win since 2003/04.
Luton now face a significant psychological setback as they missed the opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone. They must regroup quickly before facing Nottingham Forest at Kenilworth Road on Saturday.
