Brady says he is 'not against' a possible NFL return if approached by team

Tom Brady, the ex-NFL legend aged 46, expressed on Thursday his openness to the possibility of ending his retirement if a team were to approach him due to a dire need for a quarterback caused by an injury crisis.
During an interview on the Deep Cut podcast, the renowned former football player who represented both the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers expressed his openness to the idea of returning to the field if given the opportunity. When asked if he would answer the call from a team, Brady responded, "I'm not opposed to it."
However, he also acknowledged that his potential ownership of an NFL team might affect his eligibility.
Despite this, Brady emphasized that he would always maintain his physical fitness and ability to throw the ball.
Drawing a parallel to basketball legend Michael Jordan's comeback, Brady admitted uncertainty regarding whether the league would permit him to make a brief return. Nevertheless, he made it clear that he would not be against the idea.
Having retired from the NFL in 2023 after an illustrious 20-season career, the 46-year-old Brady holds the distinction of being a seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in NFL history, he secured six Super Bowl victories during his tenure with the Patriots and added a seventh with the Buccaneers in the 2020-2021 season.
As he prepares to embark on a lucrative long-term commentating role with Fox Sports in the upcoming season, Brady expressed enthusiasm for the challenge of transitioning into broadcasting.
He stated, "I love having this challenge to try something different in my life," highlighting the various ways in which it will push him to grow.
