Bronze on target as Chelsea ease into Women's Champions League quarterfinals, Lyon and Real Madrid also advance

Chelsea advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women's Champions League on Wednesday, securing a 3-0 victory against Celtic. Lyon and Real Madrid also confirmed their progression to the knockout stage.
Lucy Bronze, an England international, opened the scoring with a volley just two minutes into the match at Stamford Bridge. Wieke Kaptein, a Dutch midfielder, extended Chelsea's advantage with a header midway through the first half.
Eve Perisset sealed the win with a penalty in stoppage time of the second half, as Chelsea, leaders of the Women's Super League, achieved four consecutive victories in Group B, ensuring their advancement to the next round.
Real Madrid also progressed from the same group following a hard-fought 3-2 win against Twente.
The Dutch side initially took the lead with a goal from Jaimy Ravensbergen, but Linda Caicedo equalized just before half-time. Madrid then took charge with goals from Signe Bruun and substitute Alba Redondo, who found the net in added time.
Twente managed to score a late goal through Sophie Te Brake, but Madrid secured second place in the group with nine points, having won both encounters against Twente.
Danish forward Bruun expressed confidence in Real Madrid's potential in the Women's Champions League, stating, "I can see Real Madrid going really far in this Women's Champions League campaign. It has always been my dream to win trophies, and this one might be the biggest, so yet again, we're one step closer."
Lyon staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Roma 4-1, maintaining their flawless record in Group A.
Roma initially stunned the home crowd when Giulia Dragoni scored to give the Italians a lead with just 16 minutes remaining. However, Kadidiatou Diani, who had begun the match on the bench, quickly turned the tide with two rapid goals, putting Lyon in front.
The eight-time European champions secured their victory with additional goals from Eugenie Le Sommer and captain Wendie Renard in the closing moments of the match.
Lyon now holds a six-point advantage over both Roma and Wolfsburg, who convincingly defeated Galatasaray 5-0 for the second consecutive match, with Alexandra Popp netting a hat-trick for the German side.
Wolfsburg's other goals were scored by Janina Minge and Lena Lattwein, leaving Galatasaray still searching for their first point after scoring only once and conceding 19 goals.
Roma's next fixture will be against Wolfsburg on December 11th, a match that could prove crucial in the battle to advance alongside Lyon to the quarterfinals.
