Burrow leaves game injured as Bengals lose to Ravens in injury-plagued match

Lamar Jackson completed 16 of 26 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Baltimore Ravens to a 34-20 victory over the visiting Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.
Gus Edwards scored twice for the Ravens (8-3), who won their fifth game in six games.
The game was marred by the loss of Bengals star quarterback Joe Burrow in the second quarter due to a wrist injury.
On the first drive, Jackson went off, completing passes of 14 yards to Mark Andrews and 33 yards to Zay Flowers. These passes set the stage for Edwards' 3-yard touchdown run.
Cincinnati answered with a 50-yard field goal from Evan McPherson.
Burrow hurt his right wrist midway through the second quarter while leading his team on a go-ahead touchdown drive. Burrow knelt in apparent pain after completing a 4-yard pass in the flat to Joe Mixon, who ran it into the end zone to put the Bengals up 10-7 with 5:49 remaining in the half. Burrow finished 11-of-17 for 101 yards and a touchdown pass to Mixon.
Burrow stayed in the medical tent for several minutes before jogging off the field and to the locker room for further treatment. Images on television revealed significant and immediate swelling in the area of his right wrist.
While Burrow was being treated, the Ravens appeared to take the lead on a 68-yard touchdown pass from Jackson to Flowers down the left sideline. Odell Beckham Jr., on the other hand, was called for holding Chido Awuzie.
Later in the drive, Germaine Pratt deflected a Jackson pass over the middle and into the hands of Nelson Agholor, who raced into the end zone for a 37-yard touchdown.
Jake Browning took over for Burrow and managed one first down before the Bengals punted. As Burrow's replacement, Browning went 8-for-14 for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Jackson then led the team 80 yards in seven plays in 67 seconds, adding to their lead with a 10-yard pass to Rashod Bateman in the end zone. Baltimore went into the halftime break with a 21-10 lead.
To start the second half, Browning led a 10-play, 67-yard drive that was capped by a 26-yard field goal from McPherson.
In addition to the loss and the injury to Burrow, the Bengals lost their top cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt late in the first half when he aggravated his quad as he slipped in the end zone on the Bateman touchdown.
Ravens also lost tight end Mark Andrews to an ankle injury on their first drive while Beckham also left the game in the fourth quarter after suffering a shoulder injury from a Logan Wilson hit.
A drone flying inside the stadium caused the game to be halted for several minutes at the start of the fourth quarter.
