Butler's 36-Point Powers Miami Heat to 7th Straight Win, Outlasting Brooklyn Nets 122-115

After a challenging 1-4 start, the Miami Heat have undergone a remarkable turnaround, securing their seventh consecutive victory with a 122-115 win against the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. Jimmy Butler played a pivotal role, contributing 18 of his 36 points in the third quarter.

Duncan Robinson added 26 points for the Heat, who have now won seven straight games, marking their longest winning streak since Dec. 30, 2017, to Jan. 14, 2018. Bam Adebayo contributed 20 points, and the Heat have notably won all seven games by single-digit margins, distinguishing themselves as one of only two teams without a double-digit win this season, alongside the Charlotte Hornets.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra noted the team's growing organization and comfort level, attributing it to increased confidence. Miami's 8-4 record ties for the fourth-best 12-game start under Spoelstra.

Jimmy Butler's standout third quarter, where he scored 18 points, equaled his best for any regular-season quarter in a Heat uniform. The team's turnaround is particularly significant as they had the worst five-game start in Spoelstra's 16 seasons after losing to Brooklyn on Nov. 1.

Brooklyn's Mikal Bridges and Lonnie Walker IV each scored 23 points, while Nic Claxton was perfect from the field, scoring 16 points. Cam Johnson also added 16 points for the Nets.

The Heat's victory was part of a challenging nine-game, 18-day stretch, with their next stop being the United Center in Chicago for a game against the Bulls on Saturday night, marking the beginning of a five-game road trip.

Despite the Nets' efforts, including a 14-0 run by the Heat to close the first half, Miami maintained control throughout the second half. The win adds to the Heat's momentum and confidence as they continue their impressive streak.
