Champions League round-up: PSG snatch late draw; Dortmund, Barcelona, Atletico, Lazio through to the round of 16

PSG earned a last-gasp draw thanks to a penalty from Kylian Mbappé, while Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, and Lazio all advanced to the round of 16 with victories on Tuesday.

Here's how the action unfolded.

Feyenoord 1-3 Atlético de Madrid

Scorer: Wieffer 77′; Geertruida 14′ (OG), Hermoso 57′, Giménez 81′ (OG)

Atlético Madrid advanced to the last-16 of the Champions League, while Feyenoord were eliminated from the competition courtsey of two own goals.

Lutsharel Geertruida deflected Marcos Llorente's cross into his own net in the 14th minute, before Mario Hermoso's looping volley doubled the advantage just before the hour.

Mats Wieffer's header gave Feyenoord hope, but Atlético sealed the victory nine minutes from time when Santiago Giménez nodded past his own goalkeeper.

Lazio 2-0 Celtic

Scorer: Immobile 82′, 85′

Ciro Immobile came off the bench to win the game in Rome. Prior to the striker's introduction, Felipe Anderson in the first half and Gustav Isaksen in the second had come closest, but Celtic had looked comfortable until Immobile's interventions in the final eight minutes.

He acrobatically put the Italians ahead when one-on-one with Hart before cutting up Celtic's tired backline minutes later for a brace.

PSG 1-1 Newcastle

Scorer: Mbappé 90+7′; Isak 24′

PSG rescued a point with a last-gasp penalty from Kylian Mbappé, preventing Newcastle from leapfrogging them in Group F.

The hosts struggled to get going against their injury-riddled opponents, allowing the visitors to capitalize on their first opportunity.

Tino Livramento dribbled past eight PSG players, passed to Miguel Almiron, and while Gianluigi Donnraumma saved the Paraguayan's shot, Alexander Isak poked home the rebound.

The second half was then PSG's, but the well-organized visitors seemed up to the task. Bradley Barcola somehow missed two chances to equalize from close range before the drama began.

Despite PSG's protests, VAR ruled that Anthony Gordon had not conceded a penalty. Minutes later, 17-year-old Lewis Miley handled the ball in the box, but his appeals were denied once more.

Goalkeeper Nick Pope then remained at the top of his game, denying shot after shot, but a late, late penalty from Mbappé after a controversial Livramento handball proved too much in the dying moments.

Milan 1-3 Dortmund

Scorer: Chukwueze 37′; Reus 10′ (P), Bynoe-Gittens 59′, Adeyemi 71′

Dortmund defeated Milan, allowing them to qualify with a game to spare despite failing to score in their first two matches. After Olivier Giroud missed a penalty early on, Marco Reus converted his own; however, Samuel Chukwueze's first goal for the Italians tied the game at halftime.

However, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Karim Adeyemi scored after the break to turn the game in Dortmund's favor.

Milan can still qualify if they defeat Newcastle and PSG loses in Germany.

Man City 3-2 Leipzig

Scorer: Haaland 54′, Foden 70′, Alvarez 87′; Openda 13′, 33′

Three second-half goals helped City come back from a 2-0 deficit to win Group G. Loïs Openda broke through twice to give the visitors a stunning 2-0 lead inside 33 minutes, but the hosts rallied.

After halftime, Pep Guardiola made changes, and Phil Foden threaded Erling Haaland through to score his 40th Champions League goal in only his 35th game. Foden then equalized 20 minutes from time before setting up Julian Álvarez to win late on.

Young Boys 2-0 Red Star Belgrade

Scorer: Nedeljković 8′ (OG), Bum 29′

Young Boys scored twice in the first half to secure a third-place finish in Group G. The hosts took the lead when Kosta Nedeljković turned Loris Benito's cross into his own net.

Osman Bukari's touch let him down when he sprung the offside trap before Lewin Blum curled in Young Boys' second soon after. In the second half, the visitors continued to press, and Inbeom Hwang hit the inside of the post before Jovan Mijatović missed two good chances.

Barcelona 2-1 FC Porto

Scorers: Cancelo 32′, Félix 57′; Pepê 30′

A João Cancelo masterclass helped Barcelona reach the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time in three seasons.

On 30 minutes, Pepê pounced on a rebound to put the visitors ahead, but Porto's lead lasted only two minutes before João Cancelo rounded João Mário and curved past Diogo Costa to bring his side level.

João Félix came close to putting the hosts ahead early in the second half before linking up with Cancelo to score the game-winning goal.

Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0 Antwerp

Scorer: Matviyenko 12′

Mykola Matviyenko's stooping early header earned the Ukrainians all three points in Hamburg.

Shakhtar, fresh off a win over Barcelona, handed Antwerp their fifth Group H defeat with a mature performance. Matviyenko headed in Oleksandr Zubkov's excellent free kick, and the home team took control of the game from there.

It could have been more comfortable, but Jean Butez tipped Irakli Azarov and Taras Stepanenko's efforts over the bar.
