Chelsea 4-3 Manchester United: Hat-trick hero Palmer scores twice in stoppage time as Blues stun Red Devils in epic seven-goal thriller

Cole Palmer scored two goals in the 10th and 11th minutes of added time to secure a remarkable 4-3 victory against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. This came after Manchester United had given up a 3-2 lead in a thrilling late collapse.
Both teams have experienced a significant decline in their performance, with their previous battles for dominance in domestic and European competitions seeming like distant memories.
Following disappointing results in their recent matches against Burnley and Brentford, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag were eager for a swift response from their respective teams.
Pochettino's wish was granted within just four minutes of the game, as Malo Gusto's deflected cross found its way to Conor Gallagher, who confidently scored from close range, beating Casemiro's legs and Andre Onana in goal.
Chelsea extended their advantage after Antony was penalized for fouling Marc Cucurella inside the penalty area. Palmer displayed remarkable composure in converting the resulting penalty kick. This goal marked his 14th in the Premier League this season, putting the team he supported as a child in a precarious position.
However, just as the home team seemed to be cruising, Moises Caicedo made an errant pass that fell perfectly for Alejandro Garnacho, who ruthlessly capitalized on the mistake to reduce the deficit. Dorde Petrovic was unable to stop Garnacho's clinical finish.
Five minutes later, Manchester United equalized with a beautifully executed play. Bruno Fernandes scored a powerful header at the far post from Diogo Dalot's precise cross.
Gallagher came agonizingly close to restoring Chelsea's lead, but his shot struck the post just moments before halftime.
At the start of the second half, Ten Hag's team took control of the game. Harry Maguire made an impressive run down the left flank, but his angled shot narrowly missed the target.
Despite having a four-versus-two advantage in attack against Chelsea's defense, Fernandes failed to capitalize and sent his hasty attempt over the crossbar.
However, Antony redeemed himself by delivering an incredible assist with the outside of his left foot, allowing Garnacho to head the ball past Petrovic. This assist was Antony's first in the Premier League this season and it was executed in remarkable fashion.
It appeared that Manchester United had completed a remarkable comeback, but Dalot was penalized for a challenge on Noni Madueke in the dying moments of the match. Palmer stepped up once again to convert his second penalty kick, securing a draw for the hosts.
However, Chelsea wasn't finished yet. Palmer took advantage of the freedom he had in West London after latching onto Enzo's shot. His deflected strike beat Onana, resulting in one of the most memorable matches in Premier League history.
