Chelsea interested in Liam Delap while Manchester City are reportedly nearing deal to sign Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush

Chelsea is prepared to invest significantly to acquire the in-form Ipswich striker, Liam Delap.

The 21-year-old forward has garnered considerable attention in the Premier League this season, particularly from the ambitious Chelsea side. Under the guidance of manager Kieran McKenna, Delap has excelled with the newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Having previously developed at Manchester City, Delap is reportedly a target for Chelsea. According to Ben Jacobs, the club at Stamford Bridge is ready to offer a substantial fee for his services.

Delap is keen on the potential transfer; however, he may need to wait until the conclusion of the current season. Ipswich is unlikely to entertain a sale this month unless an exorbitant offer is made, as they are currently engaged in a battle against relegation.

In a related development, Liverpool has entered the fray to secure Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli, a player also pursued by Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

The 23-year-old Georgian winger is having another impressive season in Serie A and is expected to leave Napoli soon. Reports from The Athletic indicate that he is attracting interest from several clubs, including Manchester United, but Liverpool, PSG, and Chelsea are currently leading the pursuit.

Napoli is open to selling Kvaratskhelia but will only do so for a substantial fee that would enable them to reinvest in new players.

Additionally, Eintracht Frankfurt's forward Omar Marmoush has reportedly reached an agreement to join Manchester City, with negotiations for a transfer fee now underway.

City aims to rejuvenate their squad following a disappointing first half of the season. Although they remain in the hunt for a top-four finish, their Champions League campaign has faltered, and they are not in contention for the Premier League title.

Sky Sports reports that Manchester City is looking to finalize a deal for Marmoush in the range of €50-€60 million. However, Eintracht Frankfurt is seeking a higher amount due to the timing of the transfer. The Egyptian forward is eager to make the move and demonstrate his capabilities in the Premier League.
