Clippers defeat the one-win 76ers 110-98 in Paul George's homecoming to Los Angeles

Norman Powell recorded 26 points, marking his seventh consecutive game with at least 20 points, as the Los Angeles Clippers triumphed over the Philadelphia 76ers with a score of 110-98 on Wednesday evening, coinciding with Paul George's return to compete against his former team.
George contributed 18 points on an impressive 7 of 9 shooting, along with seven rebounds in 24 minutes during his second game of the season. He is currently on a minutes restriction due to a left knee injury that postponed his season debut.
James Harden also scored 18 points, while adding four rebounds and six assists for the Clippers.
For the 76ers, Kelly Oubre Jr. matched George's 18 points, with Caleb Martin contributing 14 points and Andre Drummond securing 10 rebounds.
The 76ers played without Joel Embiid, who is serving a three-game suspension for an incident involving a Philadelphia sports columnist. He is expected to return on Tuesday, although he has yet to participate in any games this season due to a knee injury.
“It’s unfortunate, isn’t it? I prefer not to delve into the behavior of individuals, but I believe neither party was entirely correct,” commented Sixers coach Nick Nurse prior to the game when asked about the incident. “Everyone has responsibilities, and both sides must improve in fulfilling them.”
The Clippers showcased their strength in the fourth quarter, increasing their lead to 94-72 following a 3-pointer from Amir Coffey, assisted by Powell.
