Coco Gauff reaches Miami Open fourth round despite slow start

Coco Gauff (20) had a slow start on Sunday, but once she found her rhythm, Oceane Dodin (27) couldn't keep up.
Despite being down 4-2, the American third seed made a remarkable comeback, winning the match 6-4, 6-0 and securing a spot in the Miami Open fourth round.
Gauff struggled in the beginning of the match but turned things around by winning 10 consecutive games to surprise her French opponent.
Dodin's performance deteriorated as she accumulated nine double faults and 26 unforced errors.
Gauff acknowledged Dodin's powerful hits and focused on staying deep in the court to withstand the pressure.
Gauff expressed satisfaction with her overall performance and mentioned her goal of improving with each match.
She mentioned that she is playing better than she did in the previous week's tournament in Indian Wells.
On a positive note for the American women, Jessica Pegula and Emma Navarro also advanced in the tournament.
Pegula, a two-time semi-finalist in Miami, defeated Leylah Fernandez, while Navarro, who had a strong performance in Indian Wells, won against Jasmine Paolini in a three-set match.
In other action, 23rd seeded Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia defeated Japan's Osaka 7-6(4) 7-5 in a third round slugfest featuring 28 aces.
Garcia has now won two matches in a tournament for the first time since the China Open last October, thanks to 16 aces, and will face another big-hitter third seed, Coco Gauff, for a spot in the quarterfinals.
