Cristiano Ronaldo suspended for one match after obscene gesture in Saudi league game

Cristiano Ronaldo, aged 39, has received a one-match suspension for allegedly making an inappropriate gesture after Al Nassr's 3-2 victory against Al Shabab, as announced by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation (SAFF) on Wednesday.
Following the conclusion of the match on Sunday, videos circulating on social media captured Ronaldo placing his hand to his ear and repeatedly thrusting his hand forward in front of his pelvic area. It seemed that this gesture was aimed at the opposing Al Shabab supporters.
In the background, the chants of "Messi" could be heard, alluding to Ronaldo's longstanding football rival from Argentina.
The committee has announced that the renowned Portuguese player will be required to pay a fine of 10,000 Saudi riyals ($2,666) to the Saudi Football Federation, as well as 20,000 riyals to Al-Shabab to cover the expenses related to the complaint filing fees.
The committee has emphasized that this decision is final and cannot be appealed.
In April of last year, Ronaldo was also seen making a similar gesture by grabbing his genitals while heading towards the dugout after a league game against Al Hilal, which resulted in a 2-0 loss for Al Nassr.
