Daniil Medvedev defeats Stefanos Tsitsipas to face Jannik Sinner in the final

Daniil Medvedev will defend his title at the Vienna ATP event against Jannik Sinner last Sunday after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 7-6 (8/6) on Saturday. The top-seeded Russian is looking for his sixth title of the season.
In the top game, Medvedev committed just 10 unforced errors and saved all three break points he faced, all at 2-1 in the first set.
He broke his Greek rival's serve at 3-3 and closed out the set. Tsitsipas, relying on his service in the volley game, did his work under pressure at 3-3 in the second, only to fall in the tiebreak with two errors in the first 6/6.
Medvedev, who has booked his ticket for the finals of the ATP season, will make his 36th final and the ninth of 2023. "In general, I enjoy the way I serve, and I put pressure on him in many things," said Medvedev, who is ranked third in the world.
“I had a lot of opportunities and he played well in those. Often, this pressure pays off at the end of the game."Sinner defeated Andrey Rublev 7-5, 7-6 (5) later on Saturday to reach his sixth final.
The Italian, who defeated Medvedev in the final in Beijing earlier this month, has won 26 matches in an impressive display. Rublev took a 5-2 lead in the first, but Sinner reeled off five straight games to take a one-set lead.
Sin, ranked fourth in the world, lost the tournament in the tenth game of the second round. Rublev came within two points of forcing a decider, but Sinner held on to win his first match point.
He hopes to make it back-to-back wins against Medvedev, after winning his first six meetings with the former US Open champion.
