David Moyes - Decision over my future will be made at the end of the season

West Ham manager David Moyes has restated his intention to make a decision about his future after the final match of the season, amidst growing speculation about a potential successor at the London Stadium.
The 61-year-old Scot, whose contract expires at the end of the campaign, has delayed signing a new deal.
This uncertainty has led West Ham owner David Sullivan to explore potential replacements, including discussions with Sporting Lisbon coach Ruben Amorim.
Julen Lopetegui, the former Wolves manager who is currently unemployed, is also believed to be on the shortlist.
However, Moyes, a former manager of Everton and Manchester United, has stated that he will sit down with the club's leadership to discuss his role after the season concludes with a match against Manchester City on May 19th.
"The most important thing is that there needs to be a mutual understanding between myself and the club," he explained. "If we can establish that, then we will see what happens.
However, this decision will only be made at the end of the season. You are welcome to continue asking me questions, but I have not changed my stance in any way.
We have always maintained that the decision will be made at the end of the season, and as far as I am concerned, that remains the case. This is the approach that both myself and the board have agreed upon."
Last year, under Moyes' guidance, West Ham achieved a remarkable triumph in the Europa Conference League, securing their first significant trophy in 43 years.
However, their performance in 2024 has been lackluster, with only four victories out of 21 matches across all competitions. This has led to discontent among the fan base, who are dissatisfied with the team's playing style.
Despite this disappointing run, Moyes, who manages the eighth-placed team, has an opportunity to secure a spot in European competitions for the upcoming season. West Ham will be hosting Liverpool on Saturday, presenting a chance to prove their mettle.
