Djokovic survives past error-prone Nadal at Olympics

As Djokovic continues his quest for an Olympic gold medal, Nadal from Spain now only has the doubles competition remaining to potentially add to his two Olympic gold medals, where he will be partnering with Carlos Alcaraz.
Djokovic, who boasts 24 Grand Slam singles titles compared to Nadal's 22, delivered a flawless performance over a set and a half. The world number two applied pressure on the Spaniard with powerful groundstrokes and precise drop shots, showcasing his dominance as he swiftly claimed the first set and took a commanding 4-0 lead in the second.
Despite the anticipation of a thrilling match between two tennis legends, the spectators witnessed Djokovic's swift victory over Nadal, who appeared to struggle with errors and lacked his usual precision and consistency on Court Philipp Chatrier, a venue where he has historically excelled.
With his thigh strapped due to a recent injury, Nadal committed numerous unforced errors early in the second set, tallying 13 errors compared to Djokovic's five.
Although it seemed like Nadal was on the brink of a significant defeat on his favored clay surface, he fought back and eventually provided his supporters with moments to cheer for.
Nadal managed to equalize the score after two more games, but instead of completing what seemed like an impossible comeback, it turned out to be just a temporary relief as Djokovic secured the win with an ace on his first match point.
