As reported by MLB Trade Rumors, Scott's deal ranks among the highest for a free-agent reliever, tying for third in average annual value and fifth in total guaranteed money.

Scott is expected to add firepower to the Dodgers' bullpen, supporting a rotation that could feature Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Blake Snell, Tyler Glasnow, and newly signed Roki Sasaki. The team also anticipates Clayton Kershaw's return in 2025 following his rehab from injury.
