Drew Lock leads late game-winning scoring drive as Seahawks topple Eagles 20-17

With a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon Smith-Njigba, backup quarterback Drew Lock led the Seattle Seahawks to a thrilling game-winning drive that saw them defeat the Philadelphia Eagles 20–17 on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles, already destined for the playoffs, suffered their third consecutive loss, falling into a tie with the Dallas Cowboys for first place in the NFC East division.

Despite trailing throughout the game, the Seahawks took over on their own eight-yard line with less than two minutes remaining. Quarterback Lock led a remarkable drive, completing five of 10 passes, including the game-winning throw to rookie Smith-Njigba, who made an impressive play to elude veteran cornerback James Bradberry and secure the victory.

Lock, emotional after the game, praised his teammates for their support, emphasizing the special bond within the team. Lock, who wasn't sure if he would play due to quarterback Geno Smith's groin injury, stepped up and delivered an outstanding performance, completing 22 of 33 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown.

DK Metcalf made crucial catches, three of them on the final drive, totaling 78 yards, while Kenneth Walker contributed 86 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.

In contrast, the Eagles, with quarterback Jalen Hurts playing despite flu-like symptoms, struggled to maintain their early lead. Hurts, known for his rushing ability, scored a touchdown and threw two interceptions during the game.

The win for the Seahawks kept their playoff hopes alive, while the Eagles' loss put them in a tie for first place in their division.
