Dutch No. 2 Suzan Lamens faced Germany's seasoned Tatjana Maria in the second singles showdown. After dropping the first set 4-6, Lamens mounted a roaring comeback, breaking Maria twice to take the second set 6-2.

In a tense third set, Lamens broke at 5-4 but Maria responded immediately. However, Lamens rallied once more with a decisive break, sealing a 7-5 final-set victory that put the Netherlands 2-0 ahead, marking a near-flawless day on home soil.

Schuurs & Lamens Seal the Sweep in Doubles Drama

With confidence riding high, Demi Schuurs partnered with Lamens in the concluding doubles match against Anna-Lena Friedsam and Laura Siegemund. The Germans opened with a break, but the Dutch pair clawed back, forcing a tight tiebreak to close out the first set.

The second set saw both teams battle hard, but it was Schuurs and Lamens who held their nerve. After trailing and fending off set point, the Dutch duo surged forward, winning the final four games to close the match and clinch a perfect 3-0 win for the Netherlands.
