Emma Raducanu withdraws from Miami Open with lower back injury

On Monday, various news outlets reported that Emma Raducanu, a British tennis player, has pulled out of the Miami Open just before her first-round match due to a lower back injury.
Raducanu, the former US Open champion, was sidelined for most of the previous season due to surgeries on her ankle and both wrists.
Following her solid performance at Indian Wells, where she reached the third round but was defeated by world number two Aryna Sabalenka, Raducanu aimed to continue her momentum.
Having received a wildcard entry into the main draw of the Miami Open, she was set to compete against China's Wang Xiyu in the opening round match scheduled for Tuesday.
In addition to her upcoming match, Raducanu is also slated to represent Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup tie against France next month, after making history as the first qualifier to win the US Open in 2021.
