England ended as runners-up with 11 points, just one point behind France, who suffered a surprising 3-1 loss to Ireland. Sweden finished with eight points. In the first half, England contained Sweden effectively, but faced significant pressure in the second half.

Despite a late attempt by Sweden's Filippa Angeldahl, England's goalkeeper Hannah Hampton made a crucial save to maintain a clean sheet and secure England's place in the finals in Switzerland next year.

France, already qualified after defeating Sweden, fell behind Ireland by two goals before scoring one back. However, a 90th-minute goal from Anna Patten sealed the victory for Ireland.

With Switzerland automatically qualifying as hosts, the top two teams from each League A group advance, while the third and fourth-placed teams will compete in playoffs for the remaining seven spots in the 16-team tournament.

Italy dominated Group A1 with a 4-0 win over Finland, securing nine points. Netherlands also advanced automatically after a 1-1 draw with Norway. In Group A2, Spain and Denmark secured direct qualification, with Spain defeating Belgium 2-0 and Denmark winning against the Czech Republic by the same score.

Germany topped Group A4 with 15 points, despite a 4-0 victory over Austria being overshadowed by an injury to Lena Oberdorf. Iceland claimed second place, two points behind Germany, with a 1-0 win over Poland.
