Everton 3-0 Newcastle: Toffees put three past visitors to move out of relegation zone

Sean Dyche has proven to be more successful against Howe than any other manager, and his Everton team had a strong start at home. They had six shots on goal before Newcastle managed to get one of their own.

Throughout the first half, Dominic Calvert-Lewin's impressive jumping ability caused problems for the Newcastle defense. His header from a cross by Dwight McNeil forced Martin Dúbravka to make a great save.

Newcastle, despite having several key players injured, still showed their ability to create flowing attacks. One such move resulted in Alexander Isak narrowly missing a header from Kieran Trippier's cross.

However, it was Everton who should have capitalized on their first-half chances. The best opportunity fell to Calvert-Lewin just before half-time, but he missed with a volley from close range. This kind of wastefulness is not something Dyche's team can afford as they fight against relegation.

Newcastle had their own chances to punish Everton in the second half. Lewis Miley shot over the goal from distance, and Anthony Gordon's shot was easily saved by Jordan Pickford, much to the joy of Everton's fans.

The game's decisive moments came in the final 15 minutes, and both involved mistakes from Trippier, who is usually reliable for Newcastle. The first mistake allowed McNeil to score a powerful left-footed shot after a solo run, and the second mistake led to a low cross that Abdoulaye Doucouré finished off with a hard shot past Dúbravka.

In stoppage time, substitute Beto added to Everton's lead with a goal at the near post, his first in the Premier League. This victory puts Everton in 17th place and provides some security as they prepare to face Chelsea at home
